Pro-X CODEC/SLCC

Nuvoton's Pro-X Series (PROgrammable EXtended CODEC/SLCC) supports the FXS telephone line interface optimized for short loop applications up to 4kft. Each device integrates SLCC (Subscriber Line Control Circuit), CODEC as well as DC-to-DC controller functionality on a single piece of silicon. The series includes devices supporting single, dual and quad port FXS . Every device also includes a comprehensive and user-friendly set of signaling capabilities required to supervise and control telephone lines, thus offloading processor overhead and offering designers a user-friendly signal processing environment. The wide variety of clocking speeds and schemes supported allow for system integration into virtually any system with little or no additional logic. An on-chip pulse width modulation (PWM) driver allows individual control of the DC-to-DC conversion for each line, optimizing power consumption. Most of all, each device delivers optimal system performance at a competitive cost.
