Description W588Cxxx embedded 8-bit microprocessor (µP) for speech and melody synthesis applications. With flexible firmware synthesis and new technology in PWM and DAC, W588Cxxx performs one channel speech in high sound quality. Besides, a user friendly tool also provided for W588Cxxx to define output pattern in easy way for multi-tasking applications. W588Cxxx can synthesize one-channel speech in different kinds of format, for example ADPCM and MDPCM. Regarding synthesized melody, W588Cxxx can provide 2-track of Tone melody (T-melody), or 1-track of Wave-table melody (WT-melody) that can emulate the characteristics of musical instruments.
W588Cxxx provides at most 16 bi-directional I/Os, IR carrier, and 3 output pins with 256-level control, 8-bit timer and up to 192B RAM. Besides, W588Cxxx also provides Low Voltage Reset and Watch Dog Timer to prevent hang-up situation occurring.
