W83627DHG-P is Nuvoton LPC interface I/O supporting serial port interface, parallel port interface, PS/2 interface, FDC interface, GPIO, hardware monitoring functions and SPI interface.
In the legacy I/O parts, W83627DHG-P supports four 360K, 720K, 1.2M, 1.44M, or 2.88M disk drives and data transfer rates of 250 Kb/s, 300 Kb/s, 500 Kb/s,1 Mb/s, and 2 Mb/s. The disk drive adapter functions include a floppy disk drive controller (compatible with the industry standard 82077/ 765), data separator, write pre-compensation circuit, decode logic, data rate selection, clock generator, drive interface control logic and interrupt and DMA logic. W83627DHG-P provides two high-speed serial communication ports (UARTs), one of which provides IR functions IrDA 1.0 (SIR for 1.152K bps). Each UART includes a 16-byte send/receive FIFO, a programmable baud rate generator, complete modem-control capability, and a processor interrupt system. W83627DHG-P supports one PC-compatible printer port (SPP), bi-directional printer port (BPP), enhanced parallel port (EPP) and extended capabilities port (ECP). W83627DHG-P provides flexible I/O control functions through a set of 40 general purpose I/O (GPIO) ports.
In hardware monitoring functions, W83627DHG-P monitors several critical parameters in PC hardware, including power supply voltages, fan speeds and temperatures. In temperature monitoring part, W83627DHG-P supports current mode (dual current source) method. W83627DHG-P supports the Smart Fan control algorithm, and PWM / DC output selection.
Besides, W83627DHG-P provides a Serial Flash ROM interface that can support up to 8M bits serial flash ROM. W83627DHG-P supports the SST (Simple Serial Transport) interface and the Intel PECI (Platform Environment Control Interface). W83627DHG-P fully complies with the Microsoft PC98 and PC99 Hardware Design Guide and meets the requirements of ACPI.
Meanwhile, there is W83627DHG-PT, which supports industrial operating temperature standard, or -40ºC to +85ºC. W83627DHG-PT is exactly the same as W83627DHG-P, except the operating temperature. W83627DHG-P supports commercial operating temperature standard, or 0ºC to +70ºC.
