Nuvoton’s flagship emPowerAudio™ family, introduces a series of flexible, cost-effective stereo-audio CODECs for portable-audio applications that enhance programmability and functionality. In addition to precision 24-bit stereo ADCs and DACs, the series integrates a broad range of additional functions to simplify implementation of complete audio system solutions. The CODECs include drivers for speaker, headphone, and differential or stereo line outputs, and integrates preamps for stereo differential microphones, significantly reducing external components. It delivers exceptional audio performance at battery-friendly power levels: 94dBA stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) signal-to-noise (SNR), and 90dBA stereo analog-to-digital converter (ADC) SNR. The CODEC also provides simplified microphone management circuitry, up to 1W speaker drive capability, flexible signal path and gain selection, and standby current below 2μA. In addition, the CODECs are AEC-Q100-compliant for automotive applications.
